Fall Events at Alpine Village!!

Alpine Village Presents the 7th Annual MCPAWS Oktoberfest!

Saturday October 3, 2015, Noon-6:00pm Alpine Village Plaza

The 7th Annual MCPAWS Oktoberfest is a fundraising event for MCPAWS Regional Animal Shelter that includes food vendors, beer garden and beer tasting, raffles, live music, craft vendors, local business and organization vendors, and a MCPAWS remote adoption center.
Its primary purpose is to raise funds to help support the shelter.  This event also provides a family-friendly community event. We strive to keep attendance cost low to encourage participation and help to attract out-of-town attendees. Oktoberfest is also a great opportunity for local businesses to promote themselves through vendor and sponsorship opportunities.
ATTENDANCE: Anticipated attendance for our 2015 event is 1,500 - 2,000 people.
COST: $10 - includes 1 complimentary beer, Oktoberfest souvenir koozie, sticker, and more! KIDS FREE!!!

Mountain Vino Wine Tasting

Thursday, October 7, 2015, 6:00-8:00pm Alpine Village Clubhouse #206

Mountain Java’s wine club, the Mountain Vino Club, will be hosting their monthly wine tasting at the Alpine Village Clubhouse this month. Usually these tastings are reserved for Mountain Vino members only, but Alpine Village residents are welcome regardless, and they have graciously agreed to waive the wine tasting fee, as well.

Doug Hengehold, Western Division Manager for Copper Cane Winery will be featuring the following wines paired with some wonderful specialty cheeses:

1ST Annual Chili Cook-off

Alpine Village is excited to announce the First Annual Chili Cook-off to benefit Mountain Life School. We are looking for participants, individuals or businesses, to enter their prize-winning chili! You know you've bragged about it. Now put your recipe to the test! Beer and wine for sale by Mountain Java.

Outdoor Movie Nights are BACK this Summer, in downtown McCall! Alpine Village and PLAYLive is offering a free open-air movie night series, Presented by Old Town Market & Cafe. Every Friday night in July and August, movies will be played on a 14' x 25' inflatable screen in the Alpine Village Plaza. This event is free.

Guests are invited to bring their lawn chairs, blankets, and anything else to make your viewing more comfortable. No outside food or drinks please, there will be plenty of delicious delectables sold onsite.

Wednesday, March 20, 6:30-8:30pm Chef Corinne Lewis returns to teach another of her popular gourmet cooking classes – this time featuring a variety of vegan and vegetarian cuisine.

Tuesday, April 2, 6:30-8:30pm Japanese Bento involves aesthetic and traditional precision. Whether packing for your kids or enjoying a take-along lunch for yourself, it’s more fun if it has character!

The Art of Middle Eastern Cooking, Clubhouse #206

Wednesday, April 17, 6:30-8:30pm This class will explore the art of mezze, or “tiny dishes” of Middle Eastern cuisine. Among foods featured will be classics such as baba ganoush, hummus, olive tapenade, moussaka, and a surprise dessert.

Barley Bros Winter Ale Festival at Alpine Village


Back for its 2nd year at Winter Carnival, the Barley Bros. Winter Ale Festival at Alpine Village is an event not to be missed!

An amazing day of incredible beer, entertainment, food and fun all in the middle of the McCall Winter Carnival.

Monster Dog Pull at Alpine Village


Part of McCall Winter Carnival's weekend festivities, the MCPAWS Monster Dog Pull draws dogs of every type and size to compete in six weight classes. 

Dogs are harnessed to sleds weighted based on their class size, with prizes awarded in every class. No training, special skills or equipment required.
Interested in having your dog compete? No pre-registration, just bring your dog and $10 to the event. Registration begins at 11, and the first race starts soon after.
Don't have a dog competing? Come join the crowds who gather every year and cheer for all the dogs.

Polar Plunge at Alpine Village


2013 Costume Theme: Favorite Music Group or Movie

One of McCall's favorite Winter Carnival events! The Polar Plunge is a fundraising event for The POTS Garden Project and MYST/The Yellow Couch Teen Center....two great mentoring programs in Valley County.

Anyone can plunge this year! Just raise $100 and you can jump into our icy pool of water! Not into plunging? You can also get involved by donating to a plunger. The official Plunge uniform is only a swimsuit and water shoes (costumes are optional but enc
ouraged and must be appropriate).

The Village Market

Introducing The Village Market, a seasonal outdoor market, located at the Alpine Village Plaza, designed as a complement to McCall’s current Farmer’s Market. The Village Market will set up every Friday and Sunday from June through September. This year we will open the market on Friday June 22 and run through the last week of September (Sunday September 30). Alpine Village would like to welcome any and all art, craft, and food vendors to participate. Woody's Show & Shine Car Show

The 4th annual Show and Shine Car Show will be held at Alpine Village on Saturday, June 30th and will showcase unique cars, trucks, and motorcycles from the area. Judging in 13 categories including “Best in Show,” “Most Unique,” and “Best Chrome and Fins” will take place throughout the day with prizes awarded at 4:00pm on Saturday. If you would like to participate in the Show and Shine Car Show, registration forms are available at Woody’s BBQ and Old Town Market. Show participants will be able to place cars between 8am and 10am with the show open to the public from 10am until about 4pm.

4th Annual McPaws Oktoberfest at Alpine Village

This year marks the fourth annual of the MCPAWS Oktoberfest at Alpine Village. This annual event serves as a fundraiser for the MCPAWS Regional Animal Shelter and works to bring a little piece of Bavaria to the McCall area. The event will be held at the Alpine Village Plaza, located at 616 N Third Street, and run from noon to 6:00pm. A donation to MCPAWS will provide entry into the beer garden area, while those 21 and under are free. The 2012 Oktoberfest will include local breweries and restaurants serving up unique microbrews and German inspired food. Local organizations and businesses will also have information, craft, and art booths set up throughout the Alpine Village Plaza. Live music provided by the traditional German oompah band, the Treasury Valley Musik Meisters, and a kid's area with bounce houses and face-painting make this an event for the whole family.
